Two weeks ago,
Dottie got to meet her mommy's family! First, Grammie and Pa came to
visit - and got to spend a few days with Dottie. Grammie was most excited
to hold Dottie and spent a lot of time on the couch cuddling her. Both
Grammie and Pa helped out around the house by cooking some food, planting all
of mommy's flowers for the season, and helping to organize all of the clothes
that Dottie has received from friends and family. She has quite a wardrobe
that is waiting for her as she grows! Now it's all organized by size and
ready for her to wear.
Soon after Grammie and Pa came, Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Rob came with Dottie's cousins - Katie and Clara. Katie and Clara were excited to meet their first cousin and a REAL baby! Clara might have been the most excited of anyone to meet Dottie. She couldn't wait to hold her, give her a pacifier, and watch her drink her bottle. We also took a walk in the park and went out for Mexican food. The Kochs also got to explore DC a little bit, visiting the Smithsonian museums and riding the metro!
As is typical, Dottie slept through most of everyone's visit - she has been such a good baby. We are looking forward to many more fun trips to see the family and visits from them!
